It's starting to get tough to find time to hunker down in the craft room to create. The weather is getting nice (although they are predicting possible snow tomorrow..gotta love Idaho!) and the 15 acres are calling out my name. Add that to a teenager that is starting to think she needs a life, a full time job, 4 dogs, 4 horses and being a CASA volunteer, the card making time is becoming limited. I have managed to get a couple made and up in my Etsy store.
Off to get dinner on! Thanks for stopping by..

After playing with last weeks sketch from Cindys blog, I had to give the mojo Monday sketch a try. I have been eye balling these for months thinking this would be the way to get out the slump of sitting at the table wondering how to put everything together...guess what! It works! Here is the sketch that Maria gave us to follow..
and here is what I came up with. I had that cute Magnolia image colored for quite a while and found the Basic Grey "Westeria" line of paper to match pretty good.

OK...so it's not Sunday. At least it isn't months between posts as it has been in the past. Here is a Valentine Card I made (by the way...this is my first sketch challenge) and you know what? It was kinda fun! May try more of these.
I bought the new Basic Grey Nook and Pantry (along with several others that I just had to have) and thought this cute little baker dude would look pretty spiffy for a birthday card.

Another Sunday
Cindy, sweetie, this post is for you! I just have a hard time taking pics...think I'd rather be spending my limited time creating, but I am going to make a sincere effort to make this a regular Sunday event. After all, why have a blog if you don't use it, right?
Here we go...First, I guess I must explain I am still a bit in the holiday spirit. Trying to take advantage of the mood and get some cards done for next year. Maybe, just maybe, I will even get them mailed! Who am I kidding...they are destined to set right in the box they are presently calling home.
OK. Time to change seasons...for now anyway!
Our local vet here has 8 adopted Haitian children and has an orphanage over there. I am going to make as many cards as I can for him to sell in at his practice to help raise money for his orphanage. I am sure it's not going to be much, but every little bit helps. Here is my first one...

Last Spring
While going through my pictures, I came up on a few that I took last year. Spring had finally came and my sweetie created a pretty darn good garden. We have raised beds for the smaller veggies and a very LARGE area for pumpkins and gourds. Why gourds, you ask? Well, prior to my latest addiction with paper crafts and card making, I did a lot of painting. Gourds were quite fun to either paint or turn into some very unique bird houses and feeders. I always think I will get back into that, and they are so fun to grow. You never really know what you will end up.
We also started to work on the back yard. I wanted to create a little bird sanctuary. This is the beginning. Hopefully we can add to it and keep going this spring.
Now, don't laugh at my "sloping" arbor. I gathered a bunch of willow branches that we trimmed down and this is my creation!! Hopefully, it will look better when we can get some other plantings around it.
One more pic for the day...One of my favorite shots from our trip to the San Diego Zoo last summer. Isn't he adorable?

Managed to escape to my dungeon for awhile today. The result was 3 completed projects. Whats up with that? My typical weekend craft time is spent by sitting in front of the computer, drooling over everyone's cards from my fav blogs...thinking I really want to try that...and that...and that...before I know it, it's time to get back to the real world and fix dinner. Anywho, here they are.
I wanted to try a box that I could give the girls at the office a little Easter treat in. Chose a vintage image for this one rather than coloring.

Thought I would share our Christmas Tree from this year. Didn't have room for my village, so thought I would put it in the tree. Turned out pretty nice...
....here's a Christmas morning pic with the new puppy "Ellie". Just when we get one out of the puppy stage and I forget what it was like, we get another one...stupid, stupid!! Actually, she is a sweetie.

Here are a few cards that I managed to get finished this weekend. I usually only get one done in a sitting, but I must have been feeling exceptionally creative after the holidays were over.
...and a couple from a few months ago that never made there way here..Sorry I don't have any recipes to go with these, but I just dive into my stash of supplies and grab what ever looks right to me. If you have any questions, go ahead and post it and I will try my best to answer.

Oh my...how is that for taking a break from posting! I am so ashamed! One (of my many) New Years resolutions is to be much better at this. Another is to use up some of my beloved stash and get those cards made. Actually got 3 made this weekend..just no pics yet (yes, another resolution). I'm in front of the television right now watching our Boise Bronco's at the Fiesta Bowl, so picture taking will take place tomorrow. I hope you all had a wonderful, blessed holiday. We certainly did, but now it is back to the real world.
